Murals at Folklife Festival 2012:
- present folk art and artists from East of the River DC on national stage.
- discuss artistic trends sprouting from spontaneous creation of individual artists and entire communities east of the Anacostia river.
- examine contemporary visual public art, graffiti and street art in context of folk art.
- connect all DC residents and visiting tourists to East of the River DC through interactive and participatory art.
