At The Fridge: Aerosol Mural with CON


Small Wall Big Imagination is three-session workshop in The Fridge starting this Sunday with Tim CON Conlon. Tim will guide the participants through technical and artistic aspects of aerosol art. We will learn step by step how to create a large scale mural from sketching to final details. All with spray paint. The mural will be finished in three weeks (three workshops).

Tim Conlon is an artist known for large-scale murals, graffiti art, and works on canvas. Conlon’s work has been featured in museums and galleries across the country, including the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Conlon?s work has appeared in feature films, television ads, art books and magazines, custom clothing designs, and on large street billboard advertising. Conlon is also an animator, illustrator, web designer, and video editor.


The Fridge – there will be a new mural after the next three workshops.

The workshop is on Sunday, March 14, 2010 in The Fridge, 516 8th Street SE (rear alley), Washington, DC. It is in walking distance from Eastern Market Metro Station. Bring your friends. Suitable for all ages. Fee $30. Duration 2 hours. The workshop will be mostly outdoors. The participants will get protective respirators and gloves. Working clothes covering full body is recommended.

    The workshop is on rain or shine. If it rains, it will be held in The Freezer.

    All the Sunday workshops are 2 to 4pm. You can attend only one workshop. If you attend four workshops, you get one free.
