This is a small preview of the mural painted by Eric Kennedy, Leon Rainbow and Peter K of Albus Cavus. We had wonderful time working and hanging out with our friends for two days. The space was supercharged with great creative energy. Other muralists include Tim Con, Decoy, Chanel Compton, Kelly Towles, J Coleman, Leonard Brady, Imani K Brown, Fiona Murphy, Kelly Donnelly and others.

All the beautiful artwork can be seen during the reception on Saturday, March 14 from 9pm to midnight. If you miss that, the space will be open for public viewing also on Sunday, March 15 from 10am to 4pm.

    Hola Pedro,
Hurston’s short stories are straight off the hook…this exhibit is a wonderful tribute to her legacy and struggle in the name of African American women in the U.S.. Hope to see you on Saturday compadre! Fuyo

The Mural Party was just fabulous! The creativity let loose in the room started with the star, Zora Neale Hurston, and flowed through the colorful, in all cases, ingeniuous murals; the music; the “ring” performers, the artists, and the party crowd! It was a fitting tribute to the artistry and creativity of its muse, Zora!

I am most grateful that the murals were done and cannot wait to view them myself. Thank you for the tribute to my aunt. I am sure she would be pleased to be seen as “larger than life” and admired by many.
