[...] Who says cold temperature need to leave you frozen? Artist Peter K from Albus Cavus took the low temperatures on the East Coast as a sign he needed to get creative and brave the outdoor snow and ice. “It’s been freezing in DC for the last few days,” Peter writes us. “I came across a water tower that apparently overflowed and the pouring water created beautiful layers of icicles. I rushed to take advantage of this beautiful ice formation this morning. The icicles were colored with food coloring. I had to stand directly underneath the huge icicles and color them before sunrise. When sun heated the ice, it started cracking and sharp spears came down piercing everything in their way. It was worth it to watch the sun come up from behind the mountain and illuminate the color.” It may be cold out there, but it always remains hot inside creative minds. More at albuscav.us/blog [...]
