Werc Alvarez has joined Isaias Crow on the West Coasting Tour and together, the are coming to San Diego. Today, they are creating the first collaborative mural of the tour at The Front- Casa Familiar, 147 W. San Ysidro Blvd.,San Diego, CA 92173.
Werc’s art is influenced by his heritage and he is sensitive to all social and cultural issues that affect people living in the southwest. His commentary is critical to all artificial borders people set up among themselves. One of the most recent projects is the PasoPortAll Public Art Project on the border of El Paso, TX. and Cd. Juarez, MX. He conveys the message through beautiful multilayered landscapes ready for your exploration.
Werc kicked off the Tour with a mural titled “Con Ojo Infinito” (Infinite Vision) in Chucoville. As the touring family is getting together and growing, he will be joining Isaias Crow in San Diego today. We have much to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.
Isaias Crow and Werc Alvarez were also the driving force behind La Entrada Project in San Diego a couple years ago. Since then, they life took them to Texas, but they love coming back to south California and create new art.
Become a part of West Coasting Tour and support the artists with artistic materials and other essential they need to make it from Baja to the Bay. For more information about the donations, please email Isaias Crow.
