Wood as material offers endless possibilites and we’ve been fascinated by work of Dano Karpis who specializes in making furniture and everyday objects. We look at his sinks as art, as sculptures that transform brushing teeth into interaction with the artwork. Every piece is an original shape inspired by the environment Dano spends most of his time in – wilderness and mountains of Slovakia. It is very labor intensive process to produce sinks and it requires very intimate knowledge of this natural material. More of Dano’s work is available on his website.
