Alexa Meade, the artist who creates paintings that you can hug is gradually taking her pieces from galleries and indoor installation places to public space. Timmy (above) is her most recent project in DC Metro. The painted actor pretended to be a regular passenger. His presence on the train was noticed by other passengers who smiled, wondered and hopefully realized that we all co-create our public spaces and we all are a work of public art.
